HISTORY OF NAHARGARH FORT
Nahargarh fort has been built at Aravalli hills of pink city of Jaipur .Along with Amer fort and Jaigarh fort, the Nahargarh Fort also provides strict security to the city of Jaipur. Originally, the name of the fort was first Sudarsangarh but later it became known as Nahargarh Fort, which means 'the place of the lion'. According to the famous tradition, Nahar name has been taken from Nahar Singh Bhomiya, who provided and constructed a place for the fort. In the memory of Nahar, a temple has been built inside the fort, which is known by them as well.

History
The Nahargarh fort was createdin 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. It is said to have remained around the mountain and to the safety of the walls of this fort before it was the capital of Amer. There has never been an attack on this fortress but there have been many history events, including the Ladhai in the Marathao of Jaipur, mainly in the 18th century. The British of the region, which included the wives of India, had been sent by King Sawai Ram Singh of Jaipur in Nahargarh fortress for his safety at the time of the Indo-1847 insurgency.
Sawai Jai singh built many palaces inside Nahargarh fort during 1883-1892, which cost around 3-3.5 lakhs at that time.The rooms of the palace have been connected with the corridors and some interesting and soft graffiti also remained in the palace. The Nahargarh fort used to be the residence of Maharaja, until April 1944, the Jaipur government used it for office work.

MYSTERY OF NAHARGARH FORT
It is said that strange incidents were coming out during the construction of the fort. Every second day, the laborers got their work worsened. After finding out, it was found that this place was of Rathore Raja Nahar Singh Bhomia. People believed that due to their soul, such problems were coming out in the construction.
After which Sawai King Man Singh built a small palace for him on the nearby old Ghat. After getting the place of Nahar Singh's soul, there was never a problem in the construction of the palace.
The first name of this fort was Sudarshangarh, but after the arrival of the soul of Rathore Raja Nahar Singh Bhomiya, its name was changed to Nahargarh fort.
